Apple Computer, Inc. Saves The Music Industry

Unless you’ve been living in a bunker, you’ve probably heard about Apple’s iTunes Music Store where you can purchase just about any song you want for 99¢, download it (including album art) and burn it to a CD. This is the greatest idea since Apple released the the iPod or the Macintosh itself. Leave it to Steve Jobs to save the failing music industry.

Dog FightAs for our music, I will be posting a clip of “Trina” within the next couple of days. The new album should be done before the summer is over, but there is currently no date set. In the mean time, check out the new Regenerated Headpiece album, Dog Fight, which I got to jam out on.

The Dream Is Dead

Type O Negative has released a full-length download on their web site because someone leaked their entire new album on the internet. (Read the article from Josh Silver, their keyboard player/producer/engineer.) I think it sums up what peer-to-peer sharing of music does to already-established artists that don’t chart in the top 40. Fortunately, for bands just starting out like us, the internet is a great tool.

For the record, we never leaked or shared anything from Type O Negative except for a song which wasn’t even theirs to begin with. 🙂
