Recent Works

OK, I’m generally pretty terrible at promoting myself. But some projects that I’ve been working on for the past couple of years have been making waves recently. Last week, three artists I work with have released music videos. I figured it’s due time that I dust off this site and post something.

First off we have my good friends, Jay Love & The Avid Record Collector, with an amazing video directed by Jay Love himself. The song is called “Today (A Tribute)” and it’s a shout out to all the greats that have influenced them along the way. Aside from making lyrical references to some of Jay’s favorite tracks, his lyrics speak on a subconscious level about the current state of hip hop, and the absence of respect of the genre’s history and roots by its current players. Avid’s beat is an instant classic; it’s catchy and you won’t easily be able to resist bobbing your head to it. Now while I am collaborating with this crew on Jay Love’s solo album, I didn’t work on this particular track. However I did assist in the process of getting this video on mtvU’s “The Freshmen” where it aired for five consecutive days and earned an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers.

Next up we have a video from my friends, The Buckwheat Groats. If you’re not sure who they are, be sure to go and check out some of their hilarious videos on FunnyOrDie. These guys blend comedy and hip hop like artisan mixologists. I had the honor of mixing and mastering the track for this music video. It’s probably Not Safe For Work, and it might even be considered by some to be racist. Really, it’s just a tribute and these guys don’t hold anything back for a laugh. Shot on location in South Korea and points East, here is “Swag Like An Asian”.

And last, but certainly not least, we have a video from The Reflookoo Jambee Experience. Who? I’ve been assured that they don’t even truly understand what the name of the group means. These guys go by the names of Beef and Brock Lee. They are raw, offensive, misogynistic, distasteful, and most of all- HILARIOUS. This is another amazing, head-bobbing beat provided by the Avid Record Collector. I am mixing and mastering a full length album for these guys, including this lovely track. If you offend easily, don’t bother watching one second of the video below. If you think you can handle it, I assure you that you will still be offended. Not Safe For Work? Not Safe For ANYWHERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Close the blinds, draw the curtains, avert your eyes… Here is RFJ’s Valentine’s Day video release, “PYTO”.

An Update

Not much to report on right now as all of our lives are pretty crazy and we all have full time jobs to report to. But rest assured you will hear from us soon. I’ve been assembling a project studio in my new home and plans on making some noise soon.

I’m currently collaborating with underground hip hop foul-mouth Jay Love and his producer, The Avid Record Collector, on Jay’s solo debut– tentatively titled, Suburban Life. I’ve also been working with Fongaboo of Twisted Pair on some original A/V media pieces, scheduled to debut at the third annual Freedom on the Fourth festival in Ellenville, NY. Jason Fresta’s solo album, We’re All Mad Here, has been released and is for sale at CD Baby.
